Fellas:
So this is the beginning post of the THIRD Two Buck Chuck Challenge. Who woulda imagined this idea would have gone into a third round?
This one is scheduled for 10 weeks.
Start Date: Monday June 21st
End Date: Friday September 3rd (Labor Day Weekend).
Please read and feel free to ask questions.
Participants in this two buck, include:
JFO
Galina
Suave
Lettuceman
Jay
Below are the rules and regs for the posts. Ya’ll know the drill. We are all friends and we are all competitive alpha males. So trash talking is encouraged and so is accountability by meeting up for drinks once in a while.
Lettuceman reigned supreme in the first two buck.
JFO set the pace in the second.
Whose gonna be crowned in the third?
Below are the rules and regs.
If you have not payed out the last two buck, try to take care of it as soon as possible.
…..and remember….
Its lonely at the top. But there is lots of room!
Kind Regards,
JFO

$2 PAYOUTS:
1.) Simple enough, every day someone else posts a two buck chuck workout and you don't, you pay $2 to the person/s that did. This can quickly add up, so buckle your chin straps. Stay agile, mobile, and hostile.
2.)JFO will do his best to send out a weekly update at the beginning of the week with tally’s of posts and $$ owed so far.
3.)As soon as the competition is over, the idea is to payout what is owed within 1-2 weeks. Maybe this time we can coordinate a cookout or happy hour where money can be collected and bragging rights issued.
RULES
1.) 45min Gym workout.
Anything goes in the gym. Your workout is all up to you. If you’ve been invited to join this challenge is because we trust your word on actually going to the gym and putting in a two buck worthy workout. You set the pace of your workout.
a.) The ONLY exception to the 45min rule is if you are in a sanctioned competition like a 5k, or 10k race. If you finish your competition in less than 45min, it still counts.
2.) 2- A- Day two buck post limit.
After much debate we’ve come to the compromise to limiting posting 2 workouts within a 24hr period. Each post still has to be at least 3 hours apart.
3.) Post on the Two Buck Chuck Blog
a.)After each workout, post the workout # and a brief description and initial it.
b.)All workouts must be posted within a three day period. Anything after that is null and void. This is just a good practice for all of us to be accountable to each other. Posting to the blog is easy enough to do from your cell phone and takes less than 10 seconds. So no excuses.
3.) Outside Workouts
Summer is the best season in Chicago. I think we all agree that getting outside would be a big plus for our workouts. Three guiding principles to posting outside activities as workouts are:
a. High Intensity - They have to be high intensity activities that gets the heart pumping and the body moving.
b. Focused - It has to be an activity that is atleast 45min long and focused to post as a work out. So for example if you are playing basketball, baseball, football, volley, tennis,....that counts. If you are out on a date with your woman and dancing; paddling in one of those duck boats or cycling in one of those romantic and playful tricycles that you can rent on Lakeshore .....although it’s an activity, it does NOT count. That would be neither focused nor high intensity. Focused is the name of the game. Be ready to defend your post….
I know this can be subjective but it leads me to the last part of the principle,
c. BS card: If three of your fellow Two Buck Gym Chuckers agree that your outside activity should not count, it is null and void. We are all friends and gentleman here, I don't see this BS card rule being over used or abused. As long as the outside activity is high intensity, and focused to be a 45min work out and not a leisurely stroll in the park, I think we will be alright. There has been controversy in the past…..SO BE PREPARED to defend your post.
